Dave Soucy was appointed by Governor Phil Scott to the Washington-Orange District in April. Soucy brings years of municipal government experience, having served on the Barre Town Budget Committee and he was elected to the Barre Town Select Board in 2025. Soucy served as a State Senator from Rutland County and is excited to continue his long career of public service representing the people of Barre Town and Williamstown.

Soucy serves on the House Health Care Committee, the Judicial Nominating Board and as a Commissioner for the Act 250 District 5 Environmental Commission.

Soucy lives in Barre Town with his fiancée and works as a golf pro, running tournaments all over New England.
